I’ve walked through fire, I’ve crawled through rain,

I’ve danced through heartache, prayed through pain.

Not always easy, never all smooth,

But still I rise, my soul’s living proof.

Each scar I carry, each tear I cry,

Becomes a banner lifted high.

For though I’m wounded, bruised, not whole,

Defeat has never touched my soul.

Some days are golden, calm and bright,

As praise flows easy in morning’s light.

But when the storm begins to roar,

I praise Him harder, I praise Him more.

A breath breathed in, His mercy is near.

A breath goes out, with a whispered prayer.

With every beat my heart does make,

A hymn is born I dedicate.

For I am His, and He is mine,

A bond beyond all sense of time.

I’m not unbroken, but I still bow,

With all I am, I praise Him now.
